The AC Milan vice-president Adriano Galliani has warned Inter Milan and Juventus that his side are still very much in the hunt for the Scudetto. The Rossoneri were beaten 4-2 at Juve on Sunday and go into this weekend's home game against strugglers Udinese nine points behind Serie A leaders Inter. But the Milan chief is adamant the title remains his target for the season despite the club's high number of injuries, including Kaka and Gennaro Gattuso.
"Our Scudetto ambitions remain the same," he said. "We believe we have an ultra-competitive side. We just need a bit of health as we have seven players injured and that is a lot." Milan will have a special guest at the San Siro this weekend with the England international David Beckham, who will join the Rossoneri on a loan deal from Los Angeles Galaxy in January, expected to attend. Jose Mourinho's Inter will focus on ending Siena's unbeaten run at home tomorrow.
The Nerazzurri travel to Tuscany for their final game of the year on the back of a seven-game winning run in Italy's top flight. Inter have lost just one of their 16 league games this campaign and are six points clear of second-placed Juventus, who travel to Atalanta. Napoli will be looking to defend their third place in the standings at Torino while sixth-placed Genoa will fancy their chances at bottom side Chievo.
