Charley Hull
The leading light in British women’s golf, the English teenager is one of the most exciting talents in the game. Sealed the Order of Merit last year to become the youngest to achieve the feat. Twelve months earlier, Hull had been the tour’s rookie of the year. Age 19, she has finished eighth and tied-fifth in two previous Dubai appearances.
Emily Kristine Pedersen
The Dane heads the rookie race following a first professional victory in October, when she led from start to finish to win the Indian Open. Battling compatriot Nanna Koerstz Madsen for top spot, it should provide one of the week’s most intriguing storylines. Pedersen was a much-vaunted amateur before turning pro at the beginning of this year.
Olivia Cowan
One of a crop of gifted teenagers competing in Dubai, the German has enjoyed a stellar 2015, winning three times on the tour’s Access Series to secure its Order of Merit title. Cowan, 19, represented her country in last year’s Youth Olympics, finishing fourth, and was the competition’s highest-ranked European. Turned pro this summer.
Paige Spiranac
Better known for her prowess on social media than on the professional golf circuit, the American will still demand a significant amount of the focus this week given her strong following on Instagram and Twitter. Has honed her game in mini-tour events, so playing this week on a sponsor’s invite. Her trick-shot repertoire will be tested on the Majlis.
