The best golfers in the world have converged on Augusta National Golf Club this week to compete in the rescheduled Masters. Before Thursday's first tee shot, the 94 players competing for the famous green jacket have spent this week adjusting to the course by getting in a few practice rounds. Among those players, none generate as much attention as Tiger Woods – returning to defend his title 19 months after clinching his 15th major when he completed one of the greatest comebacks in golf history . Woods, ranked 33rd, took to Augusta on Monday alongside world No 3 Justin Thomas, US Open champion Bryson DeChambeau, and former world No 1 Fred Couples to play a practice round. As the biggest star in golf, Woods' practice rounds at the Masters usually attract thousands of supporters, but the absence of patrons at this year's tournament due to the coronavirus pandemic meant the 44-year-old American's round was a much more private affair. The former world No 1 is aiming to win his sixth Masters title this year, but will face stiff competition – none more so than from two of his practice partners Thomas and DeChambeau.
