Boxing world champion Manny Pacquiao has released a special video charting his recent trip to Dubai for the Maharlika Pilipinas Basketball League exhibition matches. The 40-year-old Filipino took part in the MPBL – a competition he launched in 2017 – event at Hamdan Sports Complex in September, <a href="https://www.thenational.ae/sport/other-sport/manny-pacquiao-stars-with-42-points-in-mpbl-game-at-hamdan-sports-complex-in-pictures-1.916460">playing in two of the matches, top scoring in each</a>. While he was in the UAE, Pacquiao also spoke to <em>The National </em>about the possibility of <a href="https://www.thenational.ae/sport/other-sport/manny-pacquiao-interview-boxing-superstar-in-talks-with-floyd-mayweather-jr-and-also-targeting-fight-in-uae-to-coincide-with-dubai-expo-2020-1.916161">fighting in Dubai or Abu Dhabi in a high-profile bout for late next year</a>, to coincide with Expo 2020. The recently opened Coca-Cola Arena has been suggested as a possible venue. “I’ve decided to experience a fight here in Dubai in the future," he said. "That’s my thinking." In the 21-minute long video video released on his Twitter account on Monday, the 40-year-old is pictured arriving in the Emirates with his wife, Jinkee, and the rest of 'Team Pacquiao'. He is seen meeting and greeting fans, taking part in a phone-in on Radio Dubai and taking part in the MPBL exhibition matches.
