With Lewis Hamilton now seven points clear of title rival Felipe Massa following his success at the Chinese Grand Prix, the McLaren driver is now in pole position to become the sport's youngest ever champion.
Here is a list of possible scenarios in how the title could be decided: ? A win or a top-five finish will guarantee Hamilton the championship. ? If Massa does not finish in the top-two then Hamilton will be the champion regardless of where the Briton finishes. ? If Massa wins in Interlagos Hamilton has to be outside top five for the Ferrari driver to be champion.
? If Massa is second in Interlagos Hamilton has to be outside the top seven for the Brazilian to be crowned champion. ? If the championship ends in a dead heat with the drivers on the same amount of points, the number of race victories will be used to find a winner (both Hamilton and Massa have won five races so far). ? If there can not be a split on race victories then it will be on most second places (both have two so far), then thirds (Hamilton has three, Massa has two) to break the tie.
