Sheikh Saeed bin Rashid won gold for the UAE yesterday in the men's individual skeet, with the Emirates finishing second to Qatar in the team event.
The success adds to the UAE's prowess on the shooting range after gold in the men's team double trap last week and a bronze medal for Saif Al Shamsi in the individual double trap.
The UAE also secured gold in the men's optimist sailing.
Meanwhile, the UAE's Farah Al Khojai, the first equestrienne to represent her country in the Arab Games, has revealed her delight after winning bronze in the individual competition last week on her new mare Mazurka Grafin Dubai Duty Free.
"I am thrilled to have achieved such a fantastic result and to win the bronze medal for the UAE," Al Khojai said. "I have only had my mare, Mazurka, for a few months and I couldn't be happier with how she is developing."
Al Khojai is setting her sights on representing the UAE at the Olympic Games in 2016, the next games she can qualify for.
"To participate at the Olympics and represent my country is a lifelong ambition of mine. I know achieving this ambition will not be easy."
The UAE's male athletes picked up several silver medals late yesterday to boost the country's medals tally, moving up to ninth in the overall table.
Mohammad Darwish's leap of 16.41m secured second place in the men's triple-jump final; Mohamed Al Qubaisi lost 3-1 in the 74kg-men's freestyle wrestling final to Jordan's Ramzi Almarafi, while the men's karate team finished runners-up in the team kata competition.
Hussain Al Blooshi, Ahmed Al Zaabi, Bilal Al Salfa and Omar Al Salfa anchored the UAE to a bronze medal in the men's 4x100m relay.
