A partnership between the Abu Dhabi Department of Education and Knowledge (Adek) and the emirate's Department of Health will see free coronavirus screenings carried out in Abu Dhabi schools from Tuesday. Trained health professionals will conduct nasal and saliva PCR tests on-campus, Abu Dhabi Media Office said. The move will enable students, educators and school staff to meet routine testing requirements, and test individuals with symptoms, Adek said. Earlier this week it was announced that all public and private clinics across Abu Dhabi will offer free PCR tests for children throughout September. Pupils returning to school were required to have a PCR test before the first day of school and will have to be tested every 14 days in the first month of term. The same protocols will apply to teachers, administrative staff and third-party contractors.
