Led by the imam of Sheikh Zayed Grand Mosque, Idris Abkar, 3,598 worshippers performed the taraweeh prayer and 31,850 the tahajjud prayer.
The mosque was packed with worshippers, bringing together people from all walks of life in the act of prayer and creating a tranquil spiritual scene.
To receive the large numbers of worshippers, the Sheikh Zayed Grand Mosque Centre created committees and task forces from staff and volunteers to oversee logistics, technical issues, on-site management and the media.
These groups worked closely to ensure the comfort and safety of all worshippers, including assisting senior citizens and people of determination.
