ABU DHABI // The Indian Social and Culture Centre in the capital will celebrate its 48th anniversary on Thursday.
The celebration will take place in the center’s headquarters in Mina.
President of the center Ramesh Panicker said the members celebrate yearly.
“The Indian Social and Culture Centre was formed in 1957 and this will be our 48th anniversary. Every year we celebrate our anniversary, how else would you celebrate your birthday? We have having our celebration and a new managing team signing in for 2015. The Indian Ambassador will be in the ceremony too. There will be a musical program along with a dinner for 2,000 members,” he said.
The celebrations are organized by the 10 managing committee members chosen for the specific year, and the committee organizes weekly functions for the members.
Another member, M Abdulsalam, said the center always provides activities and functions for the members.
This anniversary will include a light show, and in-house artist will perform music and dance sections in the anniversary.
