DUBAI // A pimp fell to his death from the 11th floor after a deal with three men went wrong, a court heard today.
RAB had called on one of his prostitutes, NG, to get ready for three customers he was expecting on November 21. He claimed the customers were police officers.
When the customers arrived they took her to a bedroom, and two of the men hit her and ripped her clothes off before the third one raped her, heard the Dubai Criminal Court of First Instance.
"He was drunk, I could smell alcohol on him," the prostitute said. When the man had finished raping her he dragged her to the kitchen, still naked, and ordered the pimp to also take off his clothes. The man then took photographs of the pimp and prostitute before locking them inside the kitchen and leaving.
The pimp then tried to climb down the satellite cable out of the kitchen window, but lost his footing and fell to his death.
"Someone heard me screaming and called the police," said the prostitute.
A police officer said they received a report about a naked man falling to his death from Al Nour Tower in Al Nahda 2 area.
When police arrived at the apartment they found the prostitute, 28, and her compatriot SR, 27, who was also a prostitute.
The officers later arrested NA, a 27-year-old driver, MA, a 31-year-old electrician, and PM, a 28-year-old 'business partner'. The three, who are all from Pakistan, deny posing as police officers and causing the death of the pimp. They also deny stealing three mobile phones from him. NA denied raping the prostitute, who is also from Pakistan, while MA and PM denied helping him to do so.
The two prostitutes admitted having sex with men for money and asked the court to send them home to Pakistan. NG said she had arrived in the UAE on November 4 and was picked up at the aiport by the pimp. He took her to an apartment where she met the other prostitute and was told she would have to prostitute herself to pay back the expense of her visit visa.
The next hearing was scheduled for April 26.

'Worse than a prison sentence'
Marie Byrne, a counsellor who volunteers at the UAE government's mental health crisis helpline, said the ordeal the crew had been through would take time to overcome.
“It was worse than a prison sentence, where at least someone can deal with a set amount of time incarcerated," she said.
“They were living in perpetual mystery as to how their futures would pan out, and what that would be.
“Because of coronavirus, the world is very different now to the one they left, that will also have an impact.
“It will not fully register until they are on dry land. Some have not seen their young children grow up while others will have to rebuild relationships.
“It will be a challenge mentally, and to find other work to support their families as they have been out of circulation for so long. Hopefully they will get the care they need when they get home.”
