Abu Dhabi Police have arrested three men with more than 45kg of heroin and crystal meth. The dealers brought the drugs from abroad to sell in Abu Dhabi, Dubai and Sharjah, police said. The men would leave the drugs in a specific place and send the location to the buyers, who would then collect the stock. Brig Gen Mohammed Al Rashidi, director of criminal security, said the dealers were caught using advanced policing techniques, including crime prediction and emotion recognition. “Abu Dhabi Police managed to advance its monitoring methods over the past few months, which made this unprecedented bust possible,” said Col Taher Al Dhaheri, head of anti-narcotics. “[The bust] broke the backs of drug dealers and destroyed their illegal trade and broke their false dreams of filthy wealth.” The group was led by a person living outside the UAE. The men are in police custody.
