Two men have been arrested for attempting to steal money from an ATM in Ajman.
The pair used a crowbar and hammer in a bid to force open the cash machine on March 30.
Police officers investigating the crime were able to arrest the men within 48 hours of the attempted theft.
Detectives said the duo had confessed to the crime and that their case had been referred to public prosecutors.
“We received a report about the theft attempt and a team was immediately formed to investigate,” said Lt Col Ahmed Al Nuaimi, of Ajman Police.
“The suspects were found at their place of residence along with the tools used in the crime.
“They confessed to committing the crime and the case was referred to the public prosecution."
