Dubai Police helped reunite a family with their son after having not had contact with him for six years. Maj Gen Abdullah Al Marri, commander-in-chief of Dubai Police, said Kate O'Halloran - who lives in the UK - called police in Dubai to ask for help finding her son, Gerard. The Irishman had seemingly lost contact with his family after changing jobs multiple times. Police flew the family out to the emirate where they were provided accommodation while police searched for the man. He was eventually tracked to his home in Jebel Ali where attempts to contact him failed. Police forcibly entered his home and found him unconscious and bleeding from the head after seemingly having fallen and hit his head on a table. He was transferred to Rashid Hospital for treatment. Ms O’Halloran thanked Dubai Police for their efforts in reuniting her family and looking out for her son.
