Eid is expected to fall on Friday, but the Federal Authority for Government Human Resources announced on Monday that all governments and ministries would close from Thursday and will last until Shawwal 3. Depending on when Eid begins, Shawwal 3 will either coincide with Sunday, June 17, or Monday, June 18. On Tuesday, the Ministry of Human Resources and Emiratisation said Shawwal 1-2 would be a paid holiday for private-sector employees.
