AL AIN // UAE University has recruited 59 new professors from 16 different countries, a meeting heard on Sunday.
The university also recruited 20 visiting professors, said Dr Ali Al Nuaimi, director of the university, during a meeting with new members of the teaching faculty in Al Ain.
Dr Al Nuaimi asserted the university’s continued support for its teaching faculty to enhance teaching and research in the UAE.
Five local PhD holders also jointed the teaching staff at the university this year, with two in the faculty of medicine and health sciences, two in human and social sciences, and one in information technology.
The new teachers are from Australia and countries in North America, Europe and Asia.
