As the prophet prepared to submit to God's will, the devil tried to dissuade him and prophet Ibrahim threw rocks at him. This act is repeated by pilgrims at Hajj who throw stones at symbolic pillars. Just before Ibrahim carried out God's command, God replaced his son with a goat. Now Muslims celebrate Eid by feasting on a goat. <strong>____________</strong> <strong>Read more:</strong> <strong><a href="https://www.thenational.ae/uae/government/some-private-sector-companies-extend-eid-holidays-1.761078">Some private sector companies extend Eid holidays</a></strong> <strong><a href="https://www.thenational.ae/uae/heritage/what-and-when-is-eid-al-adha-in-the-uae-1.758088">What and when is Eid Al Adha in the UAE?</a></strong> <strong><a href="https://www.thenational.ae/lifestyle/travel/eid-al-adha-12-of-the-best-hotel-deals-from-the-uae-and-further-afield-1.756451">Eid Al Adha: 12 of the best hotel deals from the UAE and further afield</a></strong> <strong><a href="https://www.thenational.ae/uae/government/uae-public-holidays-2018-announced-by-abu-dhabi-government-1.691393">UAE public holidays 2018 announced by Abu Dhabi Government</a></strong> <strong>Hajj 2018: <a href="https://www.thenational.ae/world/gcc/hajj-2018-explained-two-million-muslims-descend-on-makkah-for-a-journey-of-a-lifetime-1.759610">Two million Muslims in Makkah for a journey of a lifetime</a></strong> <strong>____________</strong>
