Eight arrests over spate of bus thefts



SHARJAH // Eight men, including the owners of a used car and spare parts shop, have been arrested over a spate of bus thefts, police said yesterday.

The men were allegedly stealing buses, cutting them into spare parts and packing them into containers to be exported.

Police said they received several reports of buses being stolen, including a bus from a hotel.

They said that when they raided a garage they found parts from the missing hotel bus, some withthe hotel's name on them.

The eight men have been referred to the public prosecution, police said.
