DUBAI // An Emirates plane was involved in a minor collision with another aircraft on the ground at Singapore Changi Airport on Thursday. Emirates flight EK405, bound for Dubai, came into contact with a plane operated by budget carrier Scoot, flight TZ188, heading to Tianjin, China. An Emirates spokesman said the plane was slightly damaged during pushback from the terminal. It would need repairs, and passengers were booked on alternative flights. EK405 was due to leave Changi about 1.40am local time. Images on social media show what is believed to be a damaged wing. A Scoot spokesman said all 303 passengers and 11 crew members were safe and placed on a replacement aircraft about 6am. The spokesman said the left wing of the Scoot plane came into contact with the Emirates aircraft and the damaged plane was undergoing repairs.
