Emirates Red Crescent complete development projects in Yemeni villages



ABU DHABI // The Emirates Red Crescent has completed work on a project to supply water to a number of villages in Yemen, and launched a vocational programme to provide sewing machines to Yemeni women to assist them earn their living.

The projects were the eighth and ninth of 15 development projects being implemented at the instruction of Sheikha Fatima bint Mubarak, chairwoman of the General Women’s Union (GWU), to improve health care, educational and sheltering services.

ERC officials said the water project would serve thousands of families in villages in the south of Yemen.
