A video describing the story of how Dubai Font came to fruition will be aired to all Emirates passengers following a partnership between the airline and The General Secretariat of The Executive Council of Dubai.
The five-minute video will detail Dubai’s transformation and the work carried out over the past 18 months to produce the new font.
Launched in April by Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed, Crown Prince of Dubai, the font was designed in co-operation with Microsoft.
Sheikh Ahmed bin Saeed, president of Dubai Civil Aviation Authority and chairman and chief executive of Emirates airline and Group, said: “Our global reach, combined with Dubai Font’s status as a powerful tool for self-expression and communication in the region and around the world, made this the perfect marriage. We’re confident that Emirates passengers will enjoy the video greatly, and will come away with an enhanced appreciation of the role that Dubai is playing in the world today."
