The UAE is safe and immune to the evils of terrorism thanks to the affection Emiratis have for each other, said Lt Gen Dahi Khalfan, Deputy Chief of Police and Public Security in Dubai.
Gen Khalfan said there was no hatred among any segment of Emirati society, which stood as a bulwark against any force that might plot criminal activities, Al Ittihad, the Arabic language sister paper of The National reported.
He called for the punishment of hate-mongers in Arab societies, noting that holding people who incite hatred, racism and sectarianism accountable can help defuse the crisis rocking the region.
