The mercury will rise across the UAE on Thursday, with temperatures set to approach 30°C this weekend.

It will be sunny in Abu Dhabi and Dubai, with temperatures reaching 25°C and 26°C respectively.

Conditions will be moderate in the Arabian Gulf and calm in the Arabian Sea.

Humidity will rise overnight, which could lead to a foggy or misty start over some areas inland and on the coast on Friday.

The weather on Friday will be similar. Temperatures will climb as the weekend approaches.

On Saturday, it will reach 29°C in Abu Dhabi and 28°C in Dubai. Skies will be clear.

The sunny outlook for the weekend comes after a unsettled start to the year, blighted by heavy rain and thick fog.

Temperatures will fall on Sunday to just 23°C in Dubai and Abu Dhabi, and it will be dusty and partly cloudy.
