The UAE faced a second day of stormy weather on Sunday as a barrage of heavy rainfall made for treacherous road conditions and forced residents to reach for their umbrellas. A day after Dubai was hit by lightning, hail and torrential rain the country was again greeted by gloomy skies and rain-soaked streets. Wadis in the northern emirates were flooded as rainfall was recorded in all parts of the UAE. The unseasonal climate is expected to stretch on for the next 48 hours, with the National Centre of Meteorology forecasting fog and more cloudy weather to come.
