Unstable weather is expected to hit the UAE over the weekend as rain and strong winds are predicted over the course of a few days. According to the National Centre of Meteorology, clouds will increase gradually over scattered areas, bringing in rain especially over the sea, the northern and eastern areas as well as the islands. In the early hours of Thursday morning, the centre warned of fog settling into Liwa, reducing visibility to less than 1,000 metres at times. Moderate to fresh winds will be strong tomorrow especially over the sea, reaching speeds of up to 40kph on the coast. The sea will be rough in general in the Arabian Gulf and the Sea of Oman. Winds will gain strength and speed on Saturday, according to the centre, causing blowing dust and poor visibility at times. The sea in the Arabian Gulf and the Oman Sea will become very rough with partial clouds and haze at times, especially in the west. The unstable weather is expected to continue until Monday, with rain predicted on Saturday and Sunday. Temperatures on Thursday will reach highs of 29C internally and lows of 6C in the mountains with humidity peaking at 90 per cent in the internal areas and dropping to 10 per cent in the mountains.
