Mahzooz, the UAE’s new weekly cash draw, postponed its inaugural live show on Saturday just days after announcing its rebrand. Hours before the scheduled 9pm draw, organisers said they had no option but to postpone due to reasons outside of their control. All those who purchased the Dh35 entry for the inaugural show will be automatically entered into next week’s live draw on November 28. “We promised bigger and better, and more particularly we promised better technology and security,” said Ewings, operator of the weekly numbers draw, in a statement, . “We take our promises seriously and we will not risk presenting an inferior product. This is a short fix, and we will have our inaugural draw next week. “Rest assured each and every one of your entries will be automatically entered into the draw of 28th November 2020.” Last week, after a four month hiatus, the company announced the relaunch of the UAE’s official loto after system upgrades were completed. The previously named Emirates Loto was first launched in April and suspended shortly after in July to create a more streamline online experience for customers. The new-look draw is now easier to enter and the grand prize has increased to Dh50 million. Those who match six numbers will share a cash prize of at least Dh50m, up Dh15m from the previous draw. Winners who match five numbers will be able to claim a share of Dh1m, which might increase depending on how many players there are. Those who match four numbers will now earn a cash prize of Dh1,000, compared with Dh300 in the last round. And players who match three numbers will receive Dh35 or a free play.
