Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid, Vice President and Ruler of Dubai, met Angola's President Joao Lourenco at Expo 2020 Dubai on Wednesday.
The leaders discussed the latest regional and international developments, international co-operation for sustainable development, and opportunities offered by Expo 2020 Dubai.
"UAE's relations with Africa have made rapid progress in recent years," Sheikh Mohammed wrote on Twitter.
"During the reception of the Angolan President at the Expo today, we witnessed the signing of a number of agreements in the fields of energy, transport, and digital transformation"
The meeting was also attended by Sheikh Mansour bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Presidential Affairs; Sheikh Ahmed bin Saeed, Chairman of Dubai Civil Aviation Authority, Chairman of Dubai Airports and Chairman and Chief Executive of Emirates Airline and Group; Sheikh Ahmed bin Mohammed bin Rashid, Chairman of the Dubai Media Council and Sheikh Mansour bin Mohammed, Chairman of the Dubai Council for Border Crossing Points Security.
Sheikh Mohammed said that Angola was an important investment destination. He called for greater collaboration between the two countries in the metals sector and the development of infrastructure and digital economy.
The meeting also focused on the exceptional growth of trade between the two countries in recent years.
The leaders talked about increasing bilateral trade and investment.
