The UAE has brought home 2,286 Emiratis since the start of the Covid-19 outbreak, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Co-operation said on Sunday. The ministry organised 86 land and air services to bring home Emiratis from 43 countries. Eleven more repatriation flights are in the pipeline to help those who are still outside the country. Emiratis still abroad can contact the ministry to arrange a flight home through the Twajudi service that helps UAE missions to contact and help them to return back home safely in case of an emergency. And 22,900 foreign residents have also been repatriated from the UAE. To date, 127 land and air operations have been carried out to help foreign nationals get back to their home countries with 27 more planned in the near future. The country’s national carriers have helped 5,185 foreign residents to get back home.
