The Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi met the Chancellor of Austria on Saturday as the two leaders discussed economic development and interfaith dialogue. Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed, Deputy Supreme Commander of the Armed Forces, welcomed Sebastian Kurz in the UAE capital where they exchanged views on regional and international developments. The two leaders also discussed international efforts to counter terrorism and extremism - <a href="https://www.thenational.ae/world/mena/baghouz-last-bastion-of-isis-territory-falls-in-syria-1.840330">on the day victory over Isis in Syria was declared</a> - and promote the values of tolerance. The UAE and Austria have several major joint business interests together. Borealis, the Vienna-headquartered producer of plastic products, is majority owned by Mubadala, the strategic investment art of Abu Dhabi. Borealis and Abu Dhabi National Oil Company (Adnoc) also set up Borouge, the Abu Dhabi-based petrochemicals company, as a joint venture more than 20 years ago.
