Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid, Vice President and Ruler of Dubai, on Monday held a one-day retreat at Louvre Abu Dhabi where he called for the <a href="https://www.thenational.ae/uae/fund-to-advance-cultural-development-in-the-uae-to-launch-1.702017">launch of a UAE Cultural Development Fund</a>. Nine sessions were held at the museum and attended by a number of Sheikhs, Ministers and government officials. The keynote speech was held by Noura Al Kaabi, Minister of Culture and Knowledge Development, who thanked Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid for his ongoing support and acknowledgement of the role of culture, knowledge and intellectuals. Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid also inaugurated the Arab Youth Centre in Abu Dhabi. Elsewhere in the capital, Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed, Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi and Deputy Supreme Commander of the Armed Forces, held a Sea Palace Barza where he met with the organisers of the <a href="https://www.thenational.ae/uae/fifth-abu-dhabi-government-awards-reward-improvement-and-excellence-1.700931">Abu Dhabi Awards for Excellence in Government Performance</a>. He also met with members of the Abu Dhabi Polo team who won the President of UAE Polo Cup 2018 tournament. Sheikh Hazza bin Zayed, Deputy Chairman of the Abu Dhabi Executive Council, launched the "Tam" system of Abu Dhabi Unified Government Services and inspected a prototype. The Tam platform is considered to be the first of its kind in the region and represents the future of government services in the capital, reported state news agency Wam. In Dubai, Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed, Crown Prince of Dubai, launched the "Dubai Paperless Strategy" during a visit to the Smart Dubai Office headquarters in Dubai Design District. "After 2021, no employee or customer of the Government of Dubai will need to print any paper document," Sheikh Hamdan said. Meanwhile in Ras Al Khaimah, condolences were offered by Sheikh Saud bin Rashid, Ruler of Umm Al Quwain, and Sheikh Nahyan bin Mubarak, Minister of State for Tolerance, on the death of Sheikh Saud bin Kayed bin Mohammed Al Qasimi.
