Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed discussed efforts to strengthen ties with Indonesia during a phone call with the country's leader on Sunday. The Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi and Deputy Supreme Commander of the Armed Forces and Joko Widodo, President of Indonesia, outlined their shared vision to bolster links on a range of issues during the talks. The two men deliberated over regional and international developments during their conversation. Mr Widodo secured a second term as Indonesian president after the results of the country's elections were announced last month. He won more than 55 per cent of the vote. More than 192 million people were eligible to take part in the poll, choosing 20,000 local and national lawmakers to serve the world's most populous Muslim-majority nation.
