Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed, the Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi and Deputy Supreme Commander of the UAE Armed Forces, has reaffirmed the UAE’s support for the stability and development of Lebanon. In a meeting with Lebanese Prime Minister-designate Saad Hariri at the Qasr Al Shati Palace on Friday, Sheikh Mohamed expressed hopes for the formation of a government that made national reconciliation a priority to overcome the challenges facing Lebanon. The unity of Lebanon was a key theme in the meeting, that also discussed other issues including the battle against Covid-19, according to Wam, the Emirates' state news agency. Sheikh Mohamed was briefed on the latest developments in Lebanon and the ongoing efforts to form a new government. Mr Hariri congratulated the UAE on its successful Mars mission and said the country valued the continuous support of the Emirates, including efforts to curb the spread of the coronavirus pandemic. He also wished the UAE and its people safety from all harm.
