The Vice President and Ruler of Dubai penned the emotional ode to Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed, the Crown Prince of Dubai, and his two brothers, Sheikh Maktoum, Deputy Ruler of Dubai, and Sheikh Ahmed, chairman of the Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum Knowledge Foundation, last month after it was officially confirmed the trio had wed. Now, as thousands of guests descend on Dubai World Trade Centre for the Royal Wedding ceremony, the lyrical tribute has been given voice by Al Jassmi and composer Khalid Nasser. The poem turned into song forms part of a joyous video montage released by Dubai Media Office to mark the occasion. In the nine-minute-long video, the three brothers are seen alongside their father, while fireworks light up the night sky at landmark sites such as Burj Khalifa and Atlantis, The Palm to capture the festive mood. The brothers, who share the same mother, Sheikha Hind bint Maktoum bin Juma, were wed in an Islamic ceremony in May, when they signed an official marriage contract. In his poem, Sheikh Mohammed speaks of “joy and melody” filling the UAE skies at the happy news.
