Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid has vowed that Dubai will deliver the greatest world expo in history when the international event lands in the Middle East for the first time next year. The Vice President and Ruler of Dubai offered his bold message after enjoying a tour of the under-construction site which will welcome an expected 25 million visitors during a six-month extravaganza beginning on October 20, 2020. Preparations are gathering pace for the latest installment of an international fair which has celebrated ingenuity and innovation for 168 years. Sheikh Mohammed was joined on the visit by Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed, Crown Prince of Dubai, and Reem Al Hashimy, Minister of State for International Co-operation. "Pavilions representing 190 countries will be on full display when the event lands in the region for the first time," Sheikh Mohammed said. "We are ready and remain true to our promise of presenting the best Expo edition in its 168-year-old history." A preview of the massive expo site isn't just for UAE royalty, either. Residents can see the impressive venue take shape for themselves by jumping on board for <a href="http://Dubai Expo 2020: you can take a free bus tour of the site this summer">free summer bus tours </a>being held until the end of the month. "The World’s Greatest Show in the Making" tours will take place every Monday, Wednesday and Saturday, until August 31. On the tour, visitors will learn about the history of the famous world fair, before arriving at the site in Dubai South. Once on site they will explore the Expo 2020 Visitor Centre and receive a guided tour of the site and its structures.
