The UAE's leaders congratulated King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa on Bahrain’s National Day. On Wednesday, the country marks 49 years since its independence from the UK. Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid, Prime Minister and Ruler of Dubai, sent a congratulatory message to the people of Bahrain. “We congratulate the people of Bahrain on the 49th National Day and the anniversary of my brother King Hamad assuming power. May God preserve their security and safety,” Sheikh Mohammed tweeted. Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed, Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi and Deputy Supreme Commander of the Armed Forces, also sent his wishes to the king and his people. “I would like to congratulate my brother King Hamad bin Isa and the people of Bahrain. On this joyous day, we pray for the continued success and stability of your nation,” Sheikh Mohamed said. Sheikh Saud bin Saqr Al Qasimi, Ruler of Ras Al Khaimah, and Sheikh Hamad bin Mohammed Al Sharqi, Ruler of Fujairah, also sent their wishes to King Hamad and the people of Bahrain.
