Abu Dhabi's Department of Health announced the withdrawal of six medicines in the emirate after they failed to meet approved specifications. Pharmacies were instructed to stop dispensing Amydramine, Moxal Plus Tablets, Gelfamox capsules, Glemantine 2x, Rosuvastatin and Oxaliplatin. The medicines are used for colon cancer, allergies, respiratory tract infections and cholesterol reduction. Chemists were told to return any of the medication to their supplier and to alert authorities if patients reported any side effects after taking the drugs.
