Residents of Al Yahar region of Al Ain were taught by Abu Dhabi Police how to use automatic defibrillators to resuscitate cardiac patients. The demonstration showed how to use the devices in advance of the arrival of an ambulance in cases of emergency in public places.
A team from the emergency and public safety department provided the training. The department has installed the devices throughout the UAE, including in malls. The defibrillator is used when an individual shows symptoms of a heart attack or circulatory failure.
