The Sharjah Ladies Club held its Night Neon Run on Saturday at University City.
Nearly 800 women took part, more than 350 of whom were Emirati.
Khawla Al Sarkal, director of the ladies club, said the event aimed to enhance the health and physical status of working women and housewives by encouraging them to exercise daily, motivate them to adopt healthy lifestyles and reduce risk factors for diseases. There were 2 kilometre, 5km and 10km races.
The club organises events and activities in art and music, entertainment, culture and health.
