Kazakhstan leader to meet Sheikh Khalifa



ABU DHABI // The president of Kazakhstan, Nursultan Nazarbayev, arrived yesterday on a state visit. Mr Nazarbayev was welcomed by Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed, Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi, and Sheikh Mansour bin Zayed, Minister of Presidential Affairs. The state news agency, WAM, reported that Mr Nazarbayev would hold a meeting tomorrow with Sheikh Khalifa, President of the UAE. Sheikh Khalifa spent three days in Kazakhstan last summer.

To coincide with the visit, a study on the ties between the countries was released by the Information and Cultural Centre for Sheikh Sultan bin Zayed, deputy Prime Minister of the UAE. rhughes@thenational.ae

What do you love eating or cooking: I’m constantly in the kitchen. Ever since I changed the way I eat I enjoy choosing and creating what goes into my body. However, nothing can top home cooked food from my parents. 

Favorite place to go in the UAE: A quiet beach.
