DUBAI // Nine people were injured in a fire that broke out in a three-floor villa in Mirdif on Monday.
Dubai Civil Defence said the blaze erupted at about 1.50am and firefighters from Al Rashidiya and Al Qusais stations were at the scene by 2.03am. They put out the fire within 15 minutes.
A Civil Defence official said the whole villa was consumed by the fire, adding that of the nine people injured, two are in a serious condition.
An investigation has been launched to determine the cause of the blaze.

Why your domicile status is important
