One dead, three injured in Dubai crashes



DUBAI // One person was killed and four others injured in several car crashes since Friday.

Col Jamal Al Bannai, acting director of Dubai Traffic Police, said that one person was seriously injured and another sustained moderate injuries on Friday morning when two vehicles collided on Al Wasl Road at about 1am. One of the vehicles involved was a Corvette that ended up mangled in the central reservation.

On Saturday, a man was seriously injured in a run-over incident at about 3pm in Al Nahda-Baghdad Road intersection. Col Al Bannai said the man has not been identified.

Later that day, at 11.45pm, an Asian man was killed in a run-over incident in Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Road.

And on Sunday, at about 10am, there was an accident involving two vehicles on the Dubai-Al Ain Road. One Pakistani man was seriously injured.
