After Snoop Dogg took the stage at Abu Dhabi's Yas Island on Friday night, Twitter came alive with talk of the American rapper's decision to wear UAE national dress on stage.
Amira Alamoudi said it was among the best ways to globally market some aspects of the Gulf culture, while ArabScarab tweeteed it as "bizarre and amazing".
Most comments came out positive.
Jane Kinninmont said: "Snoop Dogg rocked the Emirati look at the gig as a classic Gulf pop culture moment."
Leen Ann Ruth tweeted she thought "he looked good".
Muneer al Busaibi said the concert was "amazing but the highlight was when he entered in a thawb. It was awesome".
And tweeter Erksous called Snoop's khandoura "hilariously cute".

Trump has so far secured 295 Electoral College votes, according to the Associated Press, exceeding the 270 needed to win. Only Nevada and Arizona remain to be called, and both swing states are leaning Republican. Trump swept all five remaining swing states, North Carolina, Georgia, Pennsylvania, Michigan and Wisconsin, sealing his path to victory and giving him a strong mandate.
