Heavy vehicles and trucks will be banned from entering Abu Dhabi city during rush hours from tomorrow. In the capital, trucks will stay off the roads from 6.30am to 9am and from 3pm to 6pm, according to a statement issued by Abu Dhabi Police. In Al Ain, restricted timings will be from 6.30am to 8.30am and from 2pm to 4pm. Earlier this week, authorities in Abu Dhabi announced that the emirate's borders would remain closed for another week. Travel is allowed between the emirate's regions, but those coming from Dubai need a permit. The travel restrictions have been in force since June 2, when Abu Dhabi said it would impose a travel ban on entering and leaving the emirate to control the spread of the coronavirus. In Dubai, businesses were told they could return to normal operating hours after stay-home orders which had been in place for three months were lifted this week. Residents who were earlier told to remain indoors from 11pm to 6am in Dubai, can now venture outside.
