Motorists in Abu Dhabi faced long delays on Monday morning after a crash on one of the city's busiest roads. There were long tailbacks on Sheikh Zayed bin Sultan Street, also known as Salam Street, heading out of the city. The accident took place close to the Eastern Mangroves opposite the dolphin fountain park, with tailbacks stretching down into the city as far as Hazza bin Zayed Street. Major roadworks have been taking place in the area over the past few months to widen the busy artery.
