Al Khaleej Al Arabi Street was gridlocked, starting near Abu Dhabi Cricket Stadium and running up to the stadium. There were also tailbacks on the E22 Al Ain Road up to Al Maqtaa Bridge. Sheikh Zayed Bin Sultan Street, running past Mangrove National Park, was also slow. Earlier problems on the E22 Al Ain Road near Mohammed Bin Zayed City had cleared by 8.15am. Roads leading to the stadium closed to the public from midnight to make way for buses ferrying the faithful to Mass. Sheikh Rashid bin Saeed Street and Saif Ghubash Street will reopen at 6pm. Trucks have been banned from Abu Dhabi island until 6pm too and public buses will run a reduced service until 3pm.
