Motorists took to social media to express their frustration at being in traffic for hours. Twitter user Tahir Khan said he did not move for 45 minutes. Another said that she got stuck in traffic for three hours, “3 hours later I’m in the office, thank you #dubairain” Another user said: “Hardest part of #dubairain is looking for a way which is not flooded.” Mariam suggested that whoever got stuck in traffic deserves a promotion. Meanwhile, Dubai Police said 154 accidents were reported in the emirate on Wednesday due to hazardous conditions caused by the downpours.
