The UAE ambassador to Italy has participated in a ceremony in Rome to honour the winners of the Leonardo Prizes, which celebrate innovation.
Italian president Sergio Mattarella invited the ambassador, Saqr Al Raisi, to the ceremony.
Mr Al Raisi conveyed to the president the regards of Sheikh Khalifa, President of the UAE.
The Italian president noted during the ceremony that the UAE is participating in Milan Expo 2015, which starts on Friday, Wam said.
