Visitors of Al Khan Corniche in Sharjah will have the chance to witness a huge military public demonstration this Friday as the UAE Armed Forces continue their preparations for the second edition of the Union Fortress show.
Sharjah Police shared videos on its Twitter account giving an overview of what to expect at the show, where members of the armed forces will showcase their capabilities in terms of their code of conduct, equipment and training to defend the UAE’s national interests and national security.
The show will highlight the unity of the nation and the military’s collective role in safeguarding the security of the UAE, its citizens and residents.
The first Union Fortress show, which was the largest military spectacle yet seen in the UAE, took place at the Abu Dhabi Corniche in March.
Several divisions of the armed forces, including helicopters, jets, armoured personnel carriers and rapid attack boats, will take part in the live-action show
UAE citizens and residents are encouraged to attend the event to share in the feelings of pride, spirit of unity and show support for the dedication and commitment of the armed forces members.
The Organising Committee of the show stressed the importance of following the special instructions and the venue map for those wishing to attend the event, and to follow the specific routes to reach the designated parking the recreational village areas.
They also emphasised the importance of not approaching or gathering at the prohibited military zones shown on the map.
The event will be open to the public from 4pm onwards and visitors are encouraged to arrive early.
