The daughter of the Ruler of Dubai married the son of Bahrain's king yesterday, according to an official announcement on WAM, the state news agency.
Wedding festivities unfolded in Dubai, with dignitaries from the two countries in attendance, according to the announcement. Sheikh Khalifa bin Zayed, President of the UAE, also attended and congratulated Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid, Vice President of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai, Bahrain's King Hamad bin Isa and his son, Sheikh Nasir.
Other dignitaries included Crown Prince Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed, Sheikh Hamad bin Mohammed, the Ruler of Fujairah, Sheikh Saud bin Rashid, the Ruler of Umm al Qaiwain, and Sheikh Humaid bin Rashid, the Ruler of Ajman.

Created in 1961, the World Food Programme is pledged to fight hunger worldwide as well as providing emergency food assistance in a crisis.
One of the organisation’s goals is the Zero Hunger Pledge, adopted by the international community in 2015 as one of the 17 Sustainable Goals for Sustainable Development, to end world hunger by 2030.
The WFP, a branch of the United Nations, is funded by voluntary donations from governments, businesses and private donations.
Almost two thirds of its operations currently take place in conflict zones, where it is calculated that people are more than three times likely to suffer from malnutrition than in peaceful countries.
It is currently estimated that one in nine people globally do not have enough to eat.
On any one day, the WFP estimates that it has 5,000 lorries, 20 ships and 70 aircraft on the move.
Outside emergencies, the WFP provides school meals to up to 25 million children in 63 countries, while working with communities to improve nutrition. Where possible, it buys supplies from developing countries to cut down transport cost and boost local economies.

What is hepatitis?
Hepatitis is an inflammation of the liver, which can lead to fibrosis (scarring), cirrhosis or liver cancer.
There are 5 main hepatitis viruses, referred to as types A, B, C, D and E.
Hepatitis C is mostly transmitted through exposure to infective blood. This can occur through blood transfusions, contaminated injections during medical procedures, and through injecting drugs. Sexual transmission is also possible, but is much less common.
People infected with hepatitis C experience few or no symptoms, meaning they can live with the virus for years without being diagnosed. This delay in treatment can increase the risk of significant liver damage.
There are an estimated 170 million carriers of Hepatitis C around the world.
The virus causes approximately 399,000 fatalities each year worldwide, according to WHO.
