UAE president on private visit overseas

President Sheikh Khalifa was seen off by a number of rulers and deputies as he left the country on a private visit.

President Sheikh Khalifa left the UAE on a private visit overseas yesterday.

He was seen off by a host of rulers and deputies, state news agency Wam reported.

Among those present to see him off were Sheikh Sultan bin Zayed Al Nahyan, the President's Representative, Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Crown Prince of Dubai and chairman of the Dubai Executive Council, and Sheikh Maktoum bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Deputy Ruler of Dubai.

A number of other sheikhs and senior officials were present but the statement did not specify where the President was headed.
