The skies will be cloudy this weekend and with a chance of rain, according to the national weather centre, in news likely to cause dismay among those looking to hit the beach.
Temperatures will be hot - almost 40C throughout much of the country - and overcast in many parts.
Light rain fell on Thursday in parts of Al Ain, Fujairah, Umm Al Quwain, and Ras Al Khaimah, according to the National Centre of Meteorology.
Forecasters also predicted an increase in temperatures reaching 40C and rising while cloudy conditions are set to continue over the country.
Fresh north-easterly winds will continue through Friday and Saturday reaching 40 km/h speed over the coast causing rough seas and poor visibility.
Temperatures along the coast will range between 23°C and 38C and 17C to 32C in the mountains.
Humidity is likely to increase during night and early morning over some internal areas peaking at 85 per cent with a chance of mist formation.
The sea will be moderate to rough in the Arabian Gulf with waves reaching 6 to 7 feet high.
